Project Brief: A formal garden divided into rooms, with large entertaining spaces, play areas and generous lawns and terraces. This garden was originally a tarmac carpark and required a huge amount of work to transform it into a garden.
Planting: formal clipped buxus, Prunus lusitanica, hebe and pittosporum, Pleached fagus sylvatica and Malus ‘Evereste’ provide structure. Roses, hydrangeas and wisteria jostle for space in the more formal areas of the garden, and agapanthus, lavender and alliums sweep around the upper terraces.
Materials: reclaimed yorkstone, handmade brick, Oak.
